HALO NET is our answer to the question of how an entire building envelope can become a canvas without the budget killing the idea. Instead of closed cabinets, a mesh of stainless-steel ropes and weatherproof RGB light points is stretched across the façade – just 5.8 kg per square metre, largely transparent and, at 6,200 nits, bright enough to hold its own against direct sunlight. Because wind passes through almost unhindered and loads stay low, a slim rope structure is often enough instead of a heavy substructure. That is exactly what makes areas of several hundred square metres affordable in the first place.

Wind-permeable and transparent
The open mesh lets wind and light pass through. Windows behind it stay usable and the wind load on the building stays small.

Every light point is fully potted. Rain, frost, heat and salty air do not change that.
Point-by-point maintenance
Breakpoint resume: if one light point fails, the chain keeps running. Individual points can be replaced without dismantling whole segments.

What is HALO NET suitable for?
For large outdoor surfaces where moving images should work without hiding the building behind them: high-rise façades, towers, car parks, gables and construction wraps. The open mesh keeps windows usable and wind loads low. From roughly 200 m² upwards, HALO NET is usually the most economical solution in the WALED range.
What pixel pitch does HALO NET have?
HALO NET works with a 50 mm pixel pitch and 400 pixels per square metre. As a rule of thumb, the pitch in millimetres roughly equals the minimum viewing distance in metres – so HALO NET is made for viewing distances from about 50 metres, which is the norm for building façades in urban space. How bright is HALO NET?
6,200 cd/m². That is enough for use in direct daylight; at night the brightness is dimmed via the controller to limit glare and power consumption.
How is HALO NET installed?
The mesh is suspended from an upper and lower steel structure via stainless-steel ropes (ø 2.0 mm) and tensioned with turnbuckles; rope clamps fix the panels laterally. This removes the heavy cabinet grid of classic LED façades. WALED handles planning, structural verification and installation throughout Germany.
What does a HALO NET façade cost?
